Hello, fellow Isekai adventurers! We’re Kris and Chris, and we’re excited to introduce you to Isekai Realms, where we bring our unique and deeply immersive method of role-playing to the world.
What is Isekai Realms?
Isekai Realms is built on the role-playing method developed by Kris (the GM) over the past 30+ years. Our focus is on classic “portal fantasy”, also popularly known as “Isekai” roleplaying. This approach is designed to lower the barrier to entry for new players by making the game more personal and natural to play. For the seasoned adventurer, offers a novel way to play a game they've loved for years in a new and exciting format.
Why Isekai?
Most people aren’t trained actors and so role-playing games can sometimes feel intimidating or unnatural when you’re trying to think and like the fictional character you’ve created. That is where our “play yourself” method comes in. Instead of asking you to step into the shoes of that character and decide, "What would Gimli the Dwarf do?", we instead simply challenge you to ask, "What would I do in this situation?"
Our Philosophy
At Isekai Realms, we believe that role-playing games should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. By focusing on people’s personal reactions, we make it easier for players to deeply immerse themselves in the game. This approach brings the adventure closer to home, allowing for more genuine and spontaneous play.
For New and Veteran Players
While our method is perfect for new players, offering an easy entry into the world of role-playing games, it also provides a novel and refreshing experience for seasoned veteran adventurers. Our unique style of play challenges even the most experienced gamers to rethink their approach and dive deeper into the narrative by raising the stakes for them. It’s one thing to play a Paladin or a Rogue, it is altogether another to have to live those choices yourself!
